Working With You

Flexible counselling options

In person counselling Warwick, Perth
Face-to-face sessions are available from our private consulting room within the Wellness Zone in Warwick — a calm, professional space designed to feel welcoming, not clinical. If you value in-person connection, structure, or a dedicated space away from the noise of everyday life, this option may be the right fit for you.
We’re conveniently located for clients travelling from Greenwood, Kingsley, Duncraig, Hamersley, Padbury, Woodvale, Hillarys, Joondalup, and surrounding Perth northern suburbs. Evening and weekend appointments are available.
Online counselling Australia wide
Online counselling with As You Are Counselling is just as warm and effective as meeting in person — just from wherever you are. If you prefer the comfort of your own space, have a busy schedule, or live outside Perth’s northern suburbs, online sessions offer real flexibility without compromising on quality.
Secure video appointments are available to clients across Australia, including evenings and weekends. The same counsellors, the same care — just through a screen.

Meet the counsellors
As You Are Counselling is a shared practice, offering support from two counsellors with complementary styles and shared values. We focus on creating a calm, respectful space where people feel safe to speak openly.

Brendan English
Brendan supports adults carrying heavy mental, emotional, and life stress — especially those managing anxiety, burnout, grief, identity shifts, career or relationship changes, and major life transitions. Having walked through intense life shifts himself — from military service to letting go of unhealthy relationships, becoming a father, and navigating career changes — he brings grounded, human understanding and practical support to help you make sense of what’s happening and move forward with confidence.

Esther English
Esther understands from the inside what it means to love your children deeply and still feel quietly lost in motherhood. She specialises in supporting women through the emotional complexity of pregnancy, early parenthood, and the identity shifts that so often arrive with it — creating a warm, unhurried space where women can speak honestly about their experience without judgement, explanation, or the pressure to be okay.
What sessions are like
Beginning counselling can feel uncertain, especially if it’s your first time. Our sessions are designed to be calm, supportive, and guided by your needs and pace.

We go at your speed
There’s no pressure to share everything at once. We move at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on what feels most important in the moment.

Working With You
Counselling is a shared process. We work alongside you to explore what’s been happening, make sense of your experiences, and identify ways forward that feel meaningful and practical.

Focused on understanding and change
Some sessions involve reflection and conversation, while others focus on practical strategies. Together, we review what’s helpful and adjust as your needs evolve.
When you’re ready, support is available
If you’d like to explore counselling, you’re welcome to get in touch or book a session. We’re here to support you at a pace that feels right.
