Relationship Counselling
Warwick & Perth’s Northern Suburbs
Relationships can be some of the most meaningful parts of our lives — and some of the most difficult to navigate when things aren’t working.
When communication breaks down, patterns keep repeating, or something feels off but you can’t quite name what it is, it can be hard to find clarity about what’s happening — let alone what to do next.
Relationship counselling offers a space to slow down, understand your own experience more clearly, and explore what you actually need — without pressure, without judgement, and without having to have it all figured out before you start.
We offer relationship counselling in person in Warwick, Perth’s northern suburbs, and online across Australia.

Individual Support for Relationship Challenges
Meaningful change in a relationship often begins with one person — and you don’t need your partner in the room for counselling to be genuinely useful.
Individual relationship counselling gives you space that is entirely yours — to reflect on what’s happening, understand your own patterns and needs, and explore how you’d like to approach things differently.
That might look like making sense of recurring conflict that never fully resolves. Understanding why certain situations trigger strong reactions. Getting clearer on what you need from a relationship and how to communicate it. Or simply having somewhere honest and private to think through a situation that feels complicated.
Some of what people explore in individual relationship counselling:
- Communication patterns — what gets in the way and how to approach it differently
- Emotional reactions during conflict — understanding them rather than being driven by them
- Boundaries, needs, and expectations — getting clearer on what yours actually are
- Trust difficulties — whether in a current relationship or carried from previous ones
- Decisions about the future — not being pushed toward an answer, but finding clarity
- Relationship patterns that keep showing up — understanding where they come from
The focus is never on assigning blame — for yourself or your partner. It’s on understanding your experience and finding a way forward that feels right for you.
When People Reach Out
People come to relationship counselling at all kinds of points — not only when things have reached a crisis.
Some come when communication has become difficult or hostile and they don’t know how to break the pattern. Some come when they feel emotionally distant from a partner and aren’t sure how to close the gap. Some come when trust has been damaged and they’re trying to work out whether and how to rebuild it. Some come simply feeling unheard, misunderstood, or uncertain about the future of a relationship.
And some come not because anything is dramatically wrong, but because they want to understand themselves better in relationships — to break patterns that have followed them across different connections, or to approach an important relationship with more clarity and care.
You don’t need to be in crisis to reach out. You just need to know that something could be better.

Couples Counselling — Also Available
While our primary focus is individual counselling, we do offer couples sessions for partners who want to work through difficulties together.
Couples counselling offers a structured, neutral space where both partners can speak openly and be heard — with someone alongside you who isn’t on either side. It can be useful when communication has broken down, when a significant life change has put strain on the relationship, or when both partners are committed to working through something they haven’t been able to resolve on their own.
Couples sessions are $195 for 50 minutes. If you’re unsure whether individual or couples counselling is the right starting point, a free 15-minute Fit & Next-Steps Call is a good place to talk that through.
Our consulting rooms are located at the Wellness Zone, Warwick WA 6024 — easily accessible for clients from Greenwood, Kingsley, Duncraig, Hamersley, Padbury, Woodvale, Hillarys, Joondalup, and surrounding Perth northern suburbs. Online sessions are available for clients anywhere in Australia.

FAQs About Relationship Counselling
Is relationship counselling only for couples?
Not at all — and it’s not what most people come to us for. Individual relationship counselling is for anyone navigating the challenges, patterns, or uncertainties that show up in relationships — whether you’re currently in a relationship or not. You don’t need to attend with a partner for counselling to be genuinely useful.
How is individual relationship counselling different from couples counselling?
Individual counselling focuses entirely on your experience — your patterns, your needs, your responses, and what feels right for you. Couples counselling involves both partners attending together and focuses on the dynamic between you. Both can be useful at different points, and some people find individual counselling a helpful starting point before or instead of couples sessions.
What kinds of relationship issues can individual counselling help with?
Individual relationship counselling can help with challenges such as communication difficulties, recurring conflicts, trust issues, relationship uncertainty, separation, or navigating the end of a relationship. It can also support people who want to better understand their relationship patterns or develop healthier ways of relating to others.
How can counselling help with relationship difficulties?
Counselling offers a space to slow down and reflect on what may be happening within a relationship. Together we can explore patterns, emotions, and expectations that may be contributing to tension or confusion. Many people find that gaining clarity about their own experiences helps them approach relationships with greater understanding and confidence.
Do I need to be in a relationship to seek relationship counselling?
No. Some people seek relationship counselling after a breakup, during a period of uncertainty about a relationship, or when reflecting on patterns that have shown up in past relationships. Counselling can help people explore these experiences and move forward with greater awareness.
Do you offer relationship counselling in Perth or online?
Yes. We offer in-person counselling sessions in Warwick, Perth, as well as online counselling for people across Australia. This allows you to access support in a way that feels comfortable and convenient.
